Lisa and her two senior hair stylists Melanie and Trish met the bride, Ana, at the [St. Paul Hotel](https://www.saintpaulhotel.com/) to get her and the entire bridal party PLUS the two moms ready for the BIG DAY. Everyone was so relaxed and chill the entire time it seemed they almost forgot they were getting ready for a wedding!

Lisa, Melanie, and the bride had the [wedding day consultation](/bridal-makeup-and-hair-styling) only five days prior to the wedding day because she was an out of town bride. No worries though because she was thrilled with the results and excited to see us that weekend for her wedding day.

Ana requested a very natural look for her complexion with focus on brightening her eyes. Since Ana’s dress was elaborate she wanted more of a [classic bridal hair style](/bridal-makeup-hair-artistry-photos) to compliment the dress and the overall elegance of her wedding. Senior hair stylist Melanie styled a standard low chignon and added overlapping twist pulled from both sides, incorporating the twist into the back of the hair style. Some of the bridal party requested braids combined into a loose updo and most wanted a effortless low updo with textured curls.

A little rain and overcast day didn’t stop bride Racheal from looking beautiful on her wedding day. This past summer my team and I were lucky to work with several amazing bridal parties for Minneapolis weddings. One particular bride, Melissa, was such a laid back bride that was so pleasant to work with, not to mention a beautiful bride! :)

A week before the big day we applied eyelash extensions onto the bride. Then on the wedding day, we added an extra half strip of false eyelashes to give her eyes that extra “pop.”

[Novalash Eyelash Extensions](https://www.novalash.com/index.html) are a glamorous new way to extend the length and thickness of eyelashes, and are a practical, convenient and beautiful alternative to the daily use of mascara. Traditional false lashes have to be removed nightly, eyelash extensions can be worn daily without nightly removal.

**How Long Do they *really* Last?**

When properly applied, Novalash Eyelash extensions can be worn throughout the year with minimal monthly maintenance. Touch-ups are recommended after the initial full set application to replace any lashes that may have fallen off. To maintain the full, thick appearance of a new set of lashes visit to your lash professional is required every 3-4 weeks.

**Can Lash Extensions harm natural lashes?**

When applied properly, eyelash extensions will not harm the clients natural lashes. Each natural lash continues to grow and shed in its natural cycle because each extension is bonded to one individual natural lash independent from its neighboring lash. Only get eyelash extensions applied by a certified professional.

**Can Mascara be used with Lash Extensions?**

On a fresh new set of lashes, mascara is not needed because the glue is black. If mascara is needed, it should only be used when a touch-up is drawing near. Water soluble mascara can be worn, however constant use of mascara may shorten the life-span of lashes. Waterproof mascara is not recommended for use as it will dissolve the bond with the lashes. Bridal Wedding Day Hair and Airbursh Makeup... For Everyone!

Getting your group of bridesmaids to all agree on something can be a challenge! One thing all girls CAN agree on is that getting your hair and makeup done together for the wedding day is fun and SO worth it!

Think back to if you ever were a bridesmaid–you spent lots of your time organizing parties & showers, going to dress fittings and/or makeup & hair consultations and at some point probably comforting the bride at least once during her **wedding planning process**. But if you really think back to it, you probably would not have called the experience “a joy ride”….right? If that is true for you…then a nice “thank you” would have been much appreciated to you from the Bride. When I say “thank you”, I am referring to something that is actually a cool gift! Something that you would have used instead of donating it to the nearest trash can. Let’s be honest; flower robes, chunky jewelry, and the always trendy monogrammed tote bag is OK but being a Bridesmaids can get expensive and very time consuming. SO, now that you’re the Bride say your “thank you” in a truly meaningful way. Get them **universal makeup products** they can use throughout the wedding day and then daily afterwards. Another way to show your gratitude is by contributing to their makeup & hair expenses. Tah Dah!!!! You now have a happy bridal party!

I do get the occasional Bride who will pick up the** entire bridal parties makeup & hair services** but most of the time this is not the case. Many Brides specify their gifted dollar amount and that is then allocated towards a service of the Bridesmaids choice. This is actually a sneaky little gift from the Bride to the Bride! She can now rest easy knowing that all of her bridesmaids will look amazing for pictures! That certain maid (you know who she is) the one who “over” applies her bronzer or black eyeliner….. will now look great and you are worry free! Even better, the girls are happy to partake in the getting ready experience in the morning without breaking their bank accounts.

If your budget allows for a few special splurges, I would suggest stocking up on these little beauties for the Bridesmaids in your life!  They will “Thank you” later for introducing them to FAB new makeup products!
